About Reverend Victor

“God didn’t find me in a jail cell, a hospital bed, the poor house, or rehab. I was at the top of my game when God called to me”

- Reverend Victor

Reverend Victor who is more widely known as Victor Colicchio a New York City actor/screenwriter who wrote SUMMER OF SAM, and has appeared in films such as INSIDE MAN, THE BRAVE ONE and GOODFELLAS as well as numerous television shows including THE SOPRANOS, LAW & ORDER, 3RD WATCH & THE UNUSUALS.

His investments in Manhattan real estate have gained him financial independence, and he was living a lifestyle envied by most. So why would he choose to relinquish his worldly goods and devote his life to God?

“God called me and I answered” says The Reverend who walked away from it all to answer God’s calling and dedicated the past five years of his life in combat with The 7 Deadly Sins. Devoting one year to each of these Deadly sins. He has taken vows of poverty, abstinence, and servitude.

“I want to use the knowledge I have gained to help others improve their lives, and to help make this world a better place to exist until God calls us.”

The Reverend’s journey began shortly before the tragedy of September 11th.

“I was sitting at home thinking of a screenplay in which terrorist group hijacked a commercial airliner with intentions of crash landing on 5th Avenue. I felt surrounded by a bright light. I felt as if I was floating. I had an overwhelming feeling of unconditional love which seemed to fill my entire being. It was at that moment that I realized exactly who God was. And exactly what he was all about. Pure light, pure love, total goodness.”

The World Trade Center disaster occurred just a few short weeks later.

“I knew then that God had touched me, and called me into service. I never fully understood what exactly took place the day I was working on my screenplay. I felt touched by God, but as was unclear as to the purpose, and meaning of his visit.”

The Reverend lost some very close and dear friends that day. He offered words of condolence to the families of the victims. His words seemed to bring a little bit of comfort and a slight understanding of the tragic event.

“I was able to help them keep their faith in God, which gave them the strength to move forward with their lives.”

The reverend was now fully aware as to why God called.

“I never finished that screenplay, nor have I attempted to write another one. I decided to answer God’s calling.”
